Admissions Information
The following is required for admission:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, natural sciences or mathematics from an accredited institution
- Completed application form with nonrefundable application fee of $60.00
- Official transcripts from each college or university attended, whether or not a degree was earned
- Statement of Purpose (250-500 words)

An Electronic Graduate Admissions Application is available online at www.gwu.edu/gradinfo. This complete online process allows you to submit your graduate application and electronically send requests for letters of recommendation.
To receive the traditional printed application by mail, please call (757) 269-4949 or (804) 649-1333. All printed application materials as well as support documents should be submitted to:

Transfer Credit
With the advisors approval, up to six hours of course work may be accepted in transfer and credited toward a masters degree. Such course work must have been taken within the past five years, be related to the subject matter, have not been applied toward another degree, and have been successfully completed with a grade of B or better.
Financial Aid
To apply for Stafford or alternative educational loans to finance graduate school, visit the Graduate Financial Aid loan information site on the web at gwired.gwu.edu/finaid-g.
Application Deadlines
Fall: June 30
Spring: November 15
Summer: March 1
(Exception: Students applying for financial aid should adhere to on-campus SEAS deadlines of Fall: April 1; Spring: October 1 and Summer: March 1.
 Registration Information
All GW Near You registrations are conducted via GWeb. This system will enroll you in classes and automatically generate your schedule and bill.
