Program Format

Students complete 33 credit hours (10 required courses of three credits each and one elective) by attending classes on weeknights and/or weekends. Each semester is composed of two eight-week sessions which allows the student to take two courses in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Students complete two internships as part of the program curriculum. Candidates must have three years of successful teaching experience upon completion of the program to qualify for licensure.

Degree Requirements

Candidates must take a written comprehensive examination upon completion of coursework. Students will complete 33 credits of graduate work. A grade-point average of 3.0 is required for graduation. Students who receive a grade of C in more than 6 credit hours are subject to suspension. Students who receive a grade of F must confer with the dean before enrollment for further course work is allowed.
