Admissions Information
The following documents should be submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions in the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
- Completed graduate on-line or printed application form with non-refundable application fee. Students may apply on-line at www.seasva.gwu.edu.
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, whether or not a degree was earned.
- Statement of purpose (250-500 words) detailing your decision to apply to George Washington University graduate program
- International students from non-English speaking countries who have not received a degree from an English-speaking country must submit an official TOEFL (Test for English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score and a financial certificate.
- Official GRE score (Optional)
Transfer Credits
With an academic advisors approval, up to six semester hours of graduate-level course work may be accepted in transfer and credited toward a master’s degree. Courses must have been taken within the past five years, be related in subject matter, not have been applied toward another degree, and have been successfully completed with grades of B or better. Transfer credit regulations apply to courses taken by nondegree students through the GW Office of University Solutions.
Continuous Enrollment
Students in all GW programs are expected to enroll in at least one course each semester or apply for a leave of absence. Failure to be continuously enrolled in coursework or on a leave of absence will require students to reapply for the program.

 Registration Information
All GW Near You registrations are conducted via GWeb. This system will enroll you in classes and automatically generate your schedule and bill.
