 Master's Degree Requirements
The structured two-year accelerated cohort program includes classroom, laboratory, and field site education and training. Coursework is completed in two years of evening classes, with daytime supervised K-12 school practicum and internships during two semesters of the second year. Interns deliver counseling services under supervision both in the program's Community Counseling Services Center, a fully equipped training facility, and at schools in the community.

In addition to providing continuing professional development, this certificate is ideal for individuals seeking the course requirements for consideration as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)*.

*Completion of the Post-Masters Graduate Certificate Program in Counseling does not guarantee or imply licensure as an LPC. Candidates for the Professional Counseling License should work directly with the licensing boards in their municipalities to determine specific requirements. In addition, individuals are responsible for arranging, separate from this program, any and all clinical supervision required for licensure consideration.
