 The College of Professional Studies
The College of Professional Studies (CPS) programs are designed for adult learners and working professionals in mind. With a focus on learning rather than teaching, CPS offers undergraduate and graduate programs that address the competency requirements of adults working in emerging and rapidly changing professions. The College's innovative programs are typically co-developed between university content specialists and outside partners -- commercial businesses, professional associations, consulting companies, and industry leaders.
CPS programs draw from multiple academic disciplines and are delivered in flexible formats: face-to-face, online, or a blend of both. With a faculty combining university experts and outstanding practitioners, the College of Professional Studies is a catalyst for academic innovation -- constructing credentials for the workforce that uphold the University's rigorous standards of academic excellence and respond to the real-world needs of working adults.
In addition to its own programs, CPS provides strategic services to GW by supporting applied graduate programs of GW's other colleges/schools through GW Near You. These programs are offered at convenient off-campus locations with schedules designed specifically for the busy adult professional.
